Alexander Vogel, Jeff Schwartz and Tom Steck (collectively known as Dot Dot Dot) are back with another release on Redline Park. With the Scott Heustis Group's latest release Ushante, Scott is joined by a trio of LA improv veterans -- Breeze Smith (drums, percussion), Robert Leng (alto sax, tenor sax, keyboards), and Jeff Schwartz (bass) -- offering well-grounded and even comforting jazz improv landscapes which wrap seemingly without effort around Scott's crisp, sometimes angular guitar statements.
