New Releases from the Scott Heustis Group
With the Scott Heustis Group's latest release Ushante, Scott is joined by a trio of LA improv veterans -- Breeze Smith (drums, percussion), Robert Leng (alto sax, tenor sax, keyboards), and Jeff Schwartz (bass) -- offering well-grounded and even comforting jazz improv landscapes which wrap seemingly without effort around Scott's crisp, sometimes angular guitar statements. The result is a rich collection of tracks (all recorded in various live situations) that testify to a bold, and unique, improv synergy. Check out Ushante at Redline Park.
